About Us

Who We Are

Tseikuru NP was established as a TVET institution in 2016 to offer technical and business courses to Form Four leavers at certificate and diploma levels.In Kitui County, Mwingi North Constituency It is found along Tseikuru-Mwingi Road, 1 Km from Tseikuru town adjacent Tseikuru Sub-County offices and opposite Tseikuru Sub County Hospital.

Tseikuru National polytechnic is expected to provide competent artisans, craftsmen and technicians for the industry and self-employment within Kitui County and beyond. Currently the institute has 1300 students, 49 lecturers (25 employed by PSC and 22 employed by BOG) and 19 support staff employed by BOG. The institute has Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Workshops all equipped with modern equipments to facilitate training.

The Polytechnic also has workshops with modern equipment automotive engineering; electrical and electronics technology; and computing and communication technology. Mechanical Workshops is now in use. Other courses offered at the institute include human resource management, business management, supply chain management, computerized secretarial studies, Library and Information Science.

History

Tseikure National polytechnic is in Mwingi North Constituency - Kitui County. Currently it is the only Government Institute that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Kitui County and its environs.

Tseikure National polytechnic admitted the first student in 2016 in Automotive Engineering. The Polytechnic has developed over the period to offer a range of courses in both Diploma and Certificate.
